The Roosevelt County and Clovis Curry chambers of commerce are giving businesses a chance to lobby during their annual Legislative Days activities prior to the start of the state legislative session.
The two chambers will kick off their events by hosting a reception 4 p.m. Jan. 23 at the governor’s mansion in Santa Fe. State lawmakers and business representatives are expected to attend.
“We want to be heard by our legislature and, although our local legislature is very accessible, our annual event gives people an opportunity to meet a lot of other lawmakers,” said Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce Director Karl Terry.
